General Counsel & VP Commercial
Scott Gryder has more than a decade underwriting national and local commercial real estate transactions. He is responsible for the oversight of all commercial real estate transactions as well as day-to-day operations and business development initiatives. His responsibilities also include coordinating and underwriting commercial single site and multi-site portfolio transactions.
Mr. Gryder began his title career, first as a law clerk and then claims counsel for a large national title insurer. Upon graduation from law school he went to work as Regional Claims Counsel before moving into commercial underwriting. As an underwriter he worked for two of the best producing commercial offices in the country of the two largest underwriters. He has closed hundreds of transactions, ranging from $1 million church refinances to complex multi-billion dollar sale and financing portfolios.
Scott serves as Chairman of the Kendall County Board where he also puts his property knowledge to work as a member of the Planning, Building and Zoning committee. He also serves on the Kendall County Forest Preserve Commission, as Vice Chair of the Oswegoland Park Foundation and is liaison to the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning. Mr. Gryder is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois Bar Association. Scott earned his J.D. from DePaul College of Law in Chicago and B.B.A. from University of Illinois-Springfield and is a licensed attorney in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the State of Illinois.
